Established in 1875, Sweetwater is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Sweetwater Valley, bordering the Cherokee National Forest. It is home to the Lost Sea, a registered natural landmark, which features the largest undergound lake in the United States and some of the largest rainbow trout in the world!

Sweetwater's historic downtown sector features buildings that were constructed in the 1800's, a water fountain that has been cared for since the turn of the centuty, a historic train car, a large gazebo, a duck park, numerous antique shops, and much more!
